A resource guide to learn Japanese, created by Sergio Talavera

Welcome to my resource site

In this place I'll share content that I found interesting while I was exploring the Web. Certainly I'm very fond of the appearance and aesthetics of the old Internet so I decided to make a cool website :P. It is a good exercise to practice some HTML and CSS, while improving in Japanese and even write in English(yup, I'm not native in English). Currently I passed JLPT N5, almost got the gist of N4 and trying to gest some grasp of N3 vocabulary and grammar.

Online materials/resources that I consider quite good

※ Disclaimer: this is not a definitive list but it's good for the basics (and beyond)

  • Tae Kim's Grammar Guide: a classic, no more to say. Pretty solid to gain basic understanding.

  • JLPT Sensei: very good to practice for the JLPT. Has memorable flashcards with grammar usage and some examples.

Useful Tools

  • Takoboto: simply the best dictionary for Japanese, available for Android devices.

  • Jisho.org: online dictionary, useful for checking while on the computer, also you can check the stroke order of kanjis in a visual way.
